Book Background

My good friend Alan Akina in Hawaii gave me the idea to write this book. Alan is one of the most successful business people in the world and his company 101 Financial was featured in Forbes.  He helps people get their finances in order and is a great mentor and friend.  I am passionate about basketball and helping others. Through my many struggles in life and battles with alcoholism, I have learned that getting outside of myself and helping others is the most gratifying thing in life.  This book will help the millions of people nationwide and throughout the world who are navigating the world of youth basketball, high school basketball and eventually college basketball.  My hope is that I can give people good advice and wisdom as they go through this wondrous river of the grassroots, youth and high school basketball world. The term Attitude of Gratitude is something that is paramount to this book, my journey and purpose.  Attitude of Gratitude for me means living a life of gratitude and appreciation.  This is something that I work on 365 days a year.
